Safe - Supported - Empowered
Yoga with Candice
I help people who feel stuck in chronic pain find a path back to movement that feels safe, supportive, and empowering.
My yoga journey began from a place of necessity. Like many of my clients, I have faced and overcome my own challenges with physical injuries and managing pain. Standard approaches to rehab and fitness don't always align with what your body truly needs.
This sparked a deep curiosity:
how to move with more wisdom and less strain?
I’ve spent years becoming an expert of my own body, blending the structural foundations of biomechanics with the restorative insights of yoga, which is in fact, applied neuroscience. I believe that you will be empowered to support yourself through understanding your nervous system's perception of safety and its impact on the way you move.
When we lower the threat response in the brain, the body naturally begins to let go of protective strategies. Additionally, increasing awareness of how your body moves and how it is designed to distribute load will give you an opportunity to change and add support where needed.
My values are rooted in compassion, patience, and professional evidence-based care. Whether you are navigating chronic pain or simply want to move with more awareness, my goal is to provide a calm space where you can reclaim your body's potential at your own pace.
Easy Movement, Sustainable Relief
Together, we will gently explore how you move, where you hold tension, and how you breathe. By paying attention to these quiet signals, you begin to partner with your body, instead of ignoring or overriding its requests. Over time, patterns of compensation will be replaced by more supportive patterns.
We look at how your body's systems work together to support you.
By acknowledging the creative ways your body moves, we can nurture what is working and quiet compensations. We will start with granular movements and train with ease to help your body feel steady as you build more trust in yourself.
Your body is designed to adapt and heal.
